Millennium

At the Millennium we had a wonderful gathering. Mihail had organised a vigil in the Errislannan graveyard and later they came to the Church; it was lit by candlelight. There were Roman Catholics, Church of Irelands, Quakers, some from the States and Lourdes from the Philippines- but everyone living on Errislannan peninsula. . People read poems or a letter or sang - it was very sincere and very moving; and I hope we can do it again. Stephanie Brooks

Church from afar

We have a campanile
Blessed with all our prayers
The Bishop in his wisdom
Asked us to use our ears
And hearken to the music
The countrysides foretell
The curlew's wail, the honk of swans
The tolling of the bell

Each one has a story
Our bell will tell it loud
And ring out o'er the ocean
To tell another crowd
And round the world
The bells will toll
2000 Christian years
To raise your hopes and glasses
God bless you! Christmas cheers!
